The Revie School of Dance was established in 2003 when Donna was asked to teach Irish
Dancing at Towerview Primary
School as an after school activity. The following year,
the Revie School expanded into Grange Park, Ballymagee and
Donaghadee Primary Schools.
By this stage, demand had grown to such an extent, that classes were started on
Saturday
mornings for those children wishing to take their dancing a little more seriously.
The
school has continued to grow and now has over 200 children taking part in dance lessons,
both at Primary School
classes and the studio in Bangor. In April 2008, the Revie
School of Dance moved to a purpose built studio in Bangor which
boasts full length
mirrors and changing facilities.
Dancers take part successfully in festivals, school
fairs and concerts, as well as performing at entertainment events...
including the
Ulster Orchestra’s “Pied Piper” at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast.
An assessment system
in being developed were children of all ages and abilities can work their way through
a grading system, giving them a greater sense of achievement and developing their
confidence.
At Revie School of Dance your child will be taught a wide range of Irish
Dances from Jigs and Reels through to set dances encouraging them to reach their
full potential as a dancer whatever their standard.
We hope that your child will enjoy
many years of dance and friendship with us.
